August 5-8, 2024—The Municipality of Kitaotao recently held a month-long celebration of Linggo ng Kabataan 2024, highlighted by a series of events aimed at empowering the youth of Kitaotao. Spearheaded by the Sangguniang Kabataan Federation of Kitaotao, Hon. Jefrel P. Ople, Local Youth Development Officer, Mr. Riche D. Molo, and the Local Youth Development Council. these event elements seek to highlight young people’s potential as future leaders, encourage their active engagement in society.
Section 30 of Republic Act No. 10742, the Sangguniang Kabataan Reform Act of 2015, mandates the observance of Linggo ng Kabataan in very barangay, municipality, city and province on the week where the 12th of August falls to coincide with the International Youth Day (IYD).
